Nishant Kaushik began his writing career at 6 with a craftily plagiarized version of Goldilocks & The Three Bears, which he penned in his notebook and projected to his classmates as his own work. He sold copies of the story to a rapidly increasing class audience for two rupees a piece, before his parents realized his pocket money was rising at a wondrous rate. They detained his masterpiece, reprimanded him and asked him to study instead.

Thirteen years later, circa 2002, Nishant began writing a story again - this time an original concept - on friendship and related fallacies, which had to be shelved when the phantom of his engineering subjects got the better of him. He resumed the project in 2006, and by the end of 2007, his first book Watch Out! We Are MBA was released countrywide in bookstores and globally through online sales. Following that, Nishant wrote A Romance With Chaos, a comical exploration of a middle level corporate executive's tryst with his unrequited ambitions. The book was released during the festive season of Diwali in 2009, has already sold over 35,000 copies, and still counting.

Nishant's third book, Conditions Apply, a rib-tickling comedy on modern social values and the endless slugfest between one's relationships and ambitions, is all set for release and will hit the stores very soon.

Besides writing, Nishant also holds a keen interest in music - he was a vocalist in his college band. He also won the third prize in the All-Gujarat Times Public Speaking Contest in Ahmedabad, in 2003.
